Among the activities on Second Street in
downtown Eunice on Mardi Gras eve were jam sessions during the day and a street dance at
night. On the LSUE campus, the St. Landry Parish Council on Aging sponsored a Mardi
Gras dance in the afternoon, with music by Jeffery Broussard and Zydeco Force. Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys are shown in the bottom picture performing
