The American Legion Hall in Iota was packed for the LeJeune Cove
Mardi Gras Dance held the evening after the run. The Mardi Gras were there
with their friends and neighbors. They entered the hall a couple of
times to parade around the room, but getting them to leave presents
numerous challenges. They hide everywhere: under tables, beneath
chairs, behind doors. And once they are discovered, Capitaine Gus
Gravot (shown at left with the whip in the right hand photo
immediately below) and the co-capitaines have to wrestle them outside
the building.
