Here are a few more pictures of Alphonse
"Bois Sec" Ardoin performing during spring 2002. On April 27, 2002, at the CA Guitars Scène Louisiane stage during Festival International de Louisiane in downtown Lafayette, he played with Kevin Wimmer, fiddler with Balfa Toujours, and Dexter Ardoin, one of his grandsons. At the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, he "opened" for his grandson Chris Ardoin, who is shown in the bottom photo on guitar. After Bois Sec sang several songs, his son Lawrence "Black" Ardoin was on hand at both events to sing a few more songs while his father played accordion. Earlier in April 2002, Bois Sec Ardoin gave master lessons in the accordion during the second annual Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week, and, just as he did during the first Heritage Week in 2001, he could also be seen on floor at the evening dance when all of the participants joined together under a large tent. The top two pictures in the right column were taken during Festival International in Lafayette on April 27. The other photo in the right column was taken at the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival on May 4. The bottom photos show Bois Sec Ardoin with Kevin Wimmer at Festival International and with his grandson Chris Ardoin (on guitar) at the Breaux Bridge festival.
