Mamou Christmas Parade
December 6, 2003

The 2003 Mamou Christmas Parade was held on a chilly Saturday afternoon, but no one seemed to mind the cold. Everyone was enjoying music provided by five bands: Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie (shown at right at the end of the parade route in front of the Civic Center, where the bands play for about an hour), the Ville Platte Playboys (shown second down at right), Kira Viator and Liquid Lace, Howard Noel Jr. and Cajun Boogie, and T-Salé.

In the photos below, T-Salé is shown approaching Fred's Lounge on 6th Street. Going down the left column, other photos  show T-Salé and Howard Noel Jr. and Cajun Boogie at the post-parade jam session, Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie making the turn in front of the the Hotel Cazan, Kira Viator at the jam session, and Santa in the parade pulled by egrets. In the right column, Kira Viator is shown with her father, Jody Viator, behind her, and, underneath them, Jason Bergeron on fiddle; Howard Noel Jr.; and Trent LeJeune, the accordionist with Cajun Boogie.
