The last evening dance of the 2006 Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week featured the Savoy Family Band. Throughout the night, Marc and Ann were recognizing their many friends on the dance floor as they played Cajun music the way it ought to be played: with natural sense of rhythm and melody, propelling the dancers along where everything comes together, a fit ending to a great week. Their sons Joel, on fiddle in the left, column, and Wilson on piano joined them, and also gave an amazing exhibition of twin fiddling.
